Basketball Recap: Southwest Florida Christian Comes Up Short

Southwest Florida Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Seacrest Country Day Stingrays 89-19. While losing is never fun, the King's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 517th, while the Stingrays are ranked 55th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seacrest Country Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addy Barley, who posted 23 points and four steals. Dragana Scepanovic was another key player, putting up 19 points and four steals.

Southwest Florida Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Seacrest Country Day, they pushed their record up to 18-5 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

Southwest Florida Christian has already played their next game, a 43-40 win against Everglades City on the 4th. As for Seacrest Country Day, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-11 victory against Southwest Florida Christian on the 6th.
