Childress has gone 8-1 against Tulia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Childress Bobcats will look to defend their home field against the Tulia Hornets at 12:00 p.m. Childress has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Childress came up short against Bushland on Tuesday, falling 12-5. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Childress saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drake Rabe, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Tulia hadn't done well against River Road recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Everything went Tulia's way against River Road as Tulia made off with an 11-1 victory. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Tulia got a massive performance out of Jacob Trevino, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave Trevino a new career-high in stolen bases. David Molina was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple.

Tulia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as River Road only posted a batting average of .118.

Tulia has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. Childress now has a losing record of 4-5.

Everything went Childress' way against Tulia in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, as Childress made off with a 16-6 win. Will Childress repeat their success, or does Tulia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
