Football Recap: Herndon Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Herndon's last matchup with Langley could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Hornets were beaten by the Saxons 48-7. The Hornets have struggled against the Saxons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Herndon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Chase Walker rushed for 68 yards and one score.

Cole Samburg was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 175 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (151.4).

Herndon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Langley, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Herndon will face off against Chantilly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Langley, they will square off against Westfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
