Archer extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 6-2. They walked away with a 46-39 win over the Grovetown Warriors. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Warriors are ranked 94th).

As for Grovetown, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Grovetown lost, don't look at Jordan Cavalier. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. Azaryah Collier also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Archer will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fort Mill at 2:15 p.m. on the 27th. As for Grovetown, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 100-9 victory against Lakeside on the 13th.
