Softball Recap: Seymour Comes Up Short

Seymour was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-0 to the Murray Mustangs. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in July of 2025.

Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Murray, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Seymour will head out to face off against Ankeny Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Ankeny Christian Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Seymour's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Murray, they will host Twin Cedars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
