Basketball Recap: Eagle Mountain Knights vs. Decatur Eagles
Eagle Mountain lost against Decatur back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagle Mountain Knights fell to the Decatur Eagles 60-55. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 464th, while the Eagles are ranked 200th).
Despite the loss, Eagle Mountain saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Avery Moses dropped a double-double on 28 points and 20 boards. That was a full 50.9% of Eagle Mountain's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Terry Cromer was another key player, going 5 for 9 to rack up 12 points.
