Overhills had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Seventy-First Falcons with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Overhills got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 30-28, 25-22.

Ally Williams paced Overhills' offense, picking up 18 kills. Williams got some help from Sophia Singh and her 23 assists. Williams was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Overhills has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Southern Lee on the 19th. As for Seventy-First, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Terry Sanford on the 18th.
