Softball Game Preview: Rogers Eagles vs. Burleson Elks

The Rogers Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Burleson Elks at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rogers came out on top against Eagle Mountain on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Eagles took their contest against the Knights 5-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

The team relied heavily on Brookelyn Harper, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Ariela Gutierrez was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Rogers was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eagle Mountain only posted a batting average of .263.

Meanwhile, Burleson beat Eagle Mountain 7-3 on Friday.

Rogers' record now sits at 4-5. As for Burleson, their record is now 7-4.
