Football Recap: Navasota Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Navasota and Bridge City squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Navasota had to settle for second. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 28-27 to the Cardinals. The Rattlers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2019.

Navasota lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jace Jablonski, who threw for 184 yards and three touchdowns. Caysien Douglas was in the mix as well, providing Navasota with two scores.

Abraham Munguia continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bridge City, rushing for 50 yards and a pair of TDs, while also picking up 60 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Navasota's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Bridge City, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

As of now, neither Navasota nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
