Baseball Recap: Oak Ridge Takes a Loss

After flying high against Gibbs last Wednesday, Oak Ridge came back down to earth. The Oak Ridge Wildcats came up short against the Maryville Red Rebels on Monday, falling 12-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since March 22, 2024.

Oak Ridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mikee Teasley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Oak Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Maryville, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Oak Ridge will host Gibbs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Maryville, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Pigeon Forge at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
