Softball Recap: Shasta Has No Trouble Against Enterprise

Shasta had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Enterprise on Tuesday. The Wolves blew past the Hornets 11-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-5 back in April.

Callie Hemsted made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Hemsted was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Shasta let Anna Pe?a and Sheala Buelna run wild. Pe?a got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Buelna got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and four RBI. That's the most stolen bases Pe?a has posted since back in April.

Shasta hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Shasta's record is now 11-15. As for Enterprise, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
