Volleyball Recap: Central East Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Central East had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Edison Tigers. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bengals as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Central East had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-12, 25-12, 25-22.

Central East's record now sits at 18-14. As for Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 25-9.

Looking ahead, Central East will host Santa Ynez at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bengals surely won't give up without a fight. Edison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
