Baseball Game Preview: Nimitz Cougars vs. Dekaney Wildcats

Nimitz hasn't had much luck against Dekaney recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cougars will welcome the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Nimitz duked it out with Spring on Friday. The Cougars lost 12-2 to the Lions.

Juan Arana was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run. Andreus Ross was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Dekaney's offense. They came up short against MacArthur on Friday, falling 9-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since March 17th.

Dekaney's loss dropped their record down to 15-11-2. As for Nimitz, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17.

Nimitz might still be hurting after the 12-0 loss they got from Dekaney in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
