Miami Trace extended their winning streak to seven on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 13-1 in the process. They beat the Washington Blue Lions by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on Monday.

Cam Morton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 16 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cooper Enochs, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

As for Washington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. Their loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

On Washington's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Robertson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Looking ahead, Miami Trace will challenge Chillicothe at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Washington has already played their next contest (against Circleville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
