Baseball Recap: Willcox Takes a Loss

Willcox managed to slip by Ray the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Willcox Cowboys came up short against the Ray Bearcats on Saturday, falling 10-2. The Cowboys just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Willcox saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Shull, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Willcox's loss dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for Ray, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Willcox will venture away from home to take on Round Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ray, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will square off against Anthem Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
