Basketball Game Preview: Union Knights vs. Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons

Union is 0-10 against Aplington-Parkersburg since December of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Union Knights will challenge the Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons at 6:15 p.m.

Union is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They took a blow against Grundy Center, falling 62-22. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly 40 points.

Meanwhile, after only 23 points in their last matchup, Aplington-Parkersburg made sure to put some points up on the board against Wapsie Valley on Thursday. Aplington-Parkersburg came out on top against Wapsie Valley by a score of 61-49.

Union's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.

Union was dealt a bruising 64-34 loss at the hands of Aplington-Parkersburg in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Union avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
