Basketball Recap: Tennessee Preparatory Academy Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Tennessee Preparatory Academy Diplomat Lions lost to the Fayette Ware Wildcats on the road by a 69-50 margin. The Diplomat Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fayette Ware had a senior duo take command as Tacarien Freeman went 7 for 15 on his way to 19 points along with six assists and six rebounds and Tarecous Stevens dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 boards. Those 18 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Stevens. Hunter Malena was another key player, putting up nine points.

Tennessee Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Fayette Ware, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Tennessee Preparatory Academy has already played their next match (against Memphis University School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fayette Ware will welcome Bolton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Bolton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
