Recap: FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers vs. St. John Paul II Panthers
The FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers fell victim to the St. John Paul II Panthers's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Panthers, falling 47-0. FAMU DRS just can't catch a break and has now endured five defeats in a row.
Tremaine Hughes Jr. was his usual excellent self, throwing for 283 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.9 yards per attempt. Hughes Jr. has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Ethan Braun did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 105 receiving yards and a touchdown.
FAMU DRS's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for St. John Paul II, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-6.
FAMU DRS will be playing in front of their home fans against Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Vernon is ranked 480th, while FAMU DRS is ranked 501st). As for St. John Paul II, they will head out on the road to face off against Pensacola Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. Pensacola Catholic is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
