Basketball Recap: Wilson Takes a Loss

Wilson lost against 1 of 1 Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wilson Tigers had to suffer through a 70-40 loss at the hands of the 1 of 1 Academy -.

Wilson's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Logan Murray, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds, and Leah Spears, who posted 12 points and five steals. Murray is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Zoey Miller, who earned ten points.

1 of 1 Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Miley Malcolm out in front who went 7 of 9 on her way to 19 points and five boards. Alyssa Hankerson was another key player, going 6 for 12 en route to 14 points.

Wilson's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for 1 of 1 Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-8.

Wilson has already played their next match, a 56-37 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 26th. As for 1 of 1 Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-45 win against Clarksville Christian on the 26th.
