Soccer Recap: West Point Comes Up Short

West Point lost against Shadow Ridge back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The West Point Dragons came up short against the Shadow Ridge Stallions, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Stallions are ranked 47th).

West Point now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Shadow Ridge, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Point will face off against Boulder Creek at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. As for Shadow Ridge, they will take on Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Shadow Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.9 goals per game this season.
