Softball Recap: Eastern Montgomery Takes a Loss

Eastern Montgomery lost against Grayson County back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eastern Montgomery Mustangs lost 11-5 to the Grayson County Blue Devils. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly six runs.

Macie Akers was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Sam Brein, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Eastern Montgomery's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Grayson County, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Eastern Montgomery will take on Radford at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Grayson County, they will challenge Marion at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
