Basketball Recap: Lakeland's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lakeland won the last time they faced Mosinee, and Kristina Ouimette did her part to make sure it happened again. The Lakeland Thunderbirds skirted past the Mosinee Indians 49-46 thanks in part to Ouimette, who went 10 for 20 on her way to 28 points along with six assists and five boards. Her evening made it 16 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Saylor Timmerman was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to nine rebounds and four blocks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 blocks per game.

The win (which was Lakeland's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-4. As for Mosinee, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-4 record.

Lakeland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-32 victory against Medford on the 24th. Mosinee has also already played their next contest (against Neillsville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
