Basketball Recap: W D Mohammed Comes Up Short

On Friday, the W D Mohammed Caliphs came up short against the Social Circle Redskins and fell 62-50. The Caliphs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Social Circle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leson Nelson, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. Those five assists gave Nelson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Derrick White, who went 5 of 12 en route to 16 points and four steals.

W D Mohammed's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Social Circle, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

W D Mohammed has already played their next match (against Putnam County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Social Circle has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Walnut Grove.
