The Cape Fear Colts will head out to challenge the South View Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cape Fear is coming into the game hot, having won their last ten games.
On Monday, Cape Fear was able to grind out a solid victory over North Johnston, taking the game 6-1.

McKinley Kolasa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Peyton Eason, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Kalilah De La Cruz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
Cape Fear was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in 11 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for South View, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Gray's Creek a 3-0 shutout two weeks ago.
Not much got past JORDYNN PARNELL, who gave up just two hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Gray's Creek off the board.
On the hitting side, MADDY CLARK was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.
South View has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cape Fear, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Cape Fear hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .498. However, it's not like South View struggles in that department as they've averaged .381. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Cape Fear might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from South View in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Colts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
