Noble Street College Prep waltzed into their game on Sunday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They managed a 33-28 win over the Hansberry Bengals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 40-38 back in December of 2024.

Leading Noble Street College Prep to victory were Tiffany Gaona and Sarai Gonzalez. Gaona posted eight points and ten boards, while Gonzalez had eight points and four steals. Gaona is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last five games she's played. Heidy Flores was another key player, putting up four points.

Hansberry's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miyay Jordan, who put up seven points in addition to five boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Rushing, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Noble Street College Prep has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.5 points per game. As for Hansberry, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-11 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Noble Street College Prep will venture away from home to square off against Pritzker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Noble Street College Prep: 24.7, Pritzker: 29.5) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Hansberry, they will head out on the road to face off against Thornridge at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
