Baseball Game Preview: North Iowa Bison vs. Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears

North Iowa is 1-9 against Bishop Garrigan since June of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bison will host the Golden Bears at 5:30 p.m. North Iowa has given up an average of 13.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

North Iowa is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 17-12 victory over Belmond-Klemme on Friday.

Meanwhile, Bishop Garrigan posted their closest win since July 13, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Gehlen Catholic 6-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Bears.

Bishop Garrigan picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-3. As for North Iowa, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

North Iowa might still be hurting after the 16-0 defeat they got from Bishop Garrigan in their previous meeting back in June of 2024. Can the Bison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
