Basketball Game Preview: LEE Volunteers vs. Clark Cougars

LEE hasn't had much luck against Clark recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

LEE is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Friday. They were beaten by Medina Valley 75-46. While losing is never fun, the Volunteers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 748th, while the Panthers are ranked 220th).

Meanwhile, Clark entered their contest against United on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Clark was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to United.

Clark's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5. As for LEE, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

LEE came up short against Clark when the teams last played back in January, falling 39-34. Can LEE avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
