Baseball Game Preview: Northeast Vikings vs. Frankford Pioneers

The Northeast Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Frankford Pioneers at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Northeast came up short against Roman Catholic on Saturday, falling 14-2. The Vikings have struggled against the Cahillite recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Calvin Castro was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Frankford got themselves on the board against Carver High School of Engineering & Science on Wednesday, but Carver High School of Engineering & Science never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Carver High School of Engineering & Science. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pioneers.

Robertiel Lopez was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Reynaldo De Los Santos, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Frankford pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Northeast, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Northeast couldn't quite finish off Frankford in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 and fell 13-11. Can Northeast avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
