Volleyball Recap: Donovan Wildcats vs. Tri-Point Chargers

Donovan lost against Tri-Point back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Donovan Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tri-Point Chargers. The Wildcats have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

While Donovan was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-13.

Laylah Lou Walters paced Donovan's offense, picking up four kills. Walters got some help from Lily Anderson and her nine assists. Chloe Ponton and Jenna Schermann kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Donovan's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Tri-Point, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-21 record.

Donovan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Illinois Lutheran on the 23rd. Tri-Point has also already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Grace Christian Academy on the 23rd.
