Volleyball Recap: Vista Ridge Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Vista Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Highlands Ranch Falcons. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 25-14.

Despite the defeat, Vista Ridge saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Toryn Dempsey had 42 digs and three assists. Those 42 digs set a new season-high mark for Dempsey. Alyssa Flores also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Vista Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Highlands Ranch, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Vista Ridge will head out to square off against Doherty at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Highlands Ranch, after both having extra time off, they and Douglas County will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st.
