Volleyball Recap: Conant Takes a Loss

Conant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Prospect Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in September.

While Conant was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-5.

Lelah Lee paced Conant's offense, picking up five kills. Lee got some help from Sienna McCarthy and her 11 assists.

Conant's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Prospect, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Conant is set to face off against their familiar foe Schaumburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Prospect will take on rival Elk Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
