Baseball Recap: Tabernacle Christian Drops Season-High Score on Shining Light Baptist Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tabernacle Christian). They blew past the Shining Light Baptist Academy Sharks 16-7 on Tuesday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Sharks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Blain Wallace was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Tabernacle Christian is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-5 otherwise. Wallace was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Josue Sandoval was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing six bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Connor Lindsay, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Tabernacle Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Tabernacle Christian's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-6. As for Shining Light Baptist Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
