Volleyball Recap: Winchester Community Comes Up Short

Winchester Community lost against Jay County back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Golden Falcons fell 3-1 to the Patriots.

The final score came out to 25-21, 18-25, 25-12, 25-19.

Auden Hummel paced Winchester Community's offense, picking up 15 kills. Hummel got some help from Lyndi Whitenack and her 20 assists. Molly Barker and Jasmine Rheinhart kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Lani Muhlenkamp went supernova For Jay County., getting 17 digs and one assist. Muhlenkamp is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 17 every time she's taken the court this season.

Winchester Community's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Jay County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Winchester Community has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Alexandria-Monroe on the 28th. Jay County has also already played their next game (against Muncie Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
