Baseball Recap: Briarcrest Christian Victorious

Christian Brothers typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Briarcrest Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Purple Wave. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Purple Wave recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Briarcrest Christian got a great performance from Lance Bryan as he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Bryan has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Briarcrest Christian let Luke McGee and Landon Rogers run wild. McGee scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Rogers scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

Briarcrest Christian's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Christian Brothers, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-8.

Coming up, Briarcrest Christian will head out to challenge Lausanne Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christian Brothers, they will square off against Brighton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
