Basketball Recap: Blair Comes Up Short

After flying high against Paint Branch last Friday, Blair came back down to earth. The Blair Blazers fell just short of the Springbrook Blue Devils by a score of 44-41 on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Blazers came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 226th).

Blair's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Springbrook, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.

Blair will square off against Bethesda-Chevy Chase on Friday. As for Springbrook, they will take on Northwest on Friday.
