Soccer Game Preview: Rossview vs. Kirkwood

The Rossview Hawks will square off against the Kirkwood Cobras at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rossview is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let White House get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Friday. Rossview haven't had any issues with White House recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Kirkwood entered their tilt with Northeast on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Eagles. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Kirkwood were the better team in the second half.

Kirkwood was without their leading scorer, Grayson Sims, in Tuesday's game. With Sims sitting this one out, Nolan Teeple got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 55).

Rossview's victory bumped their record up to 4-2-3. As for Kirkwood, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Rossview beat Kirkwood 4-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Cobras have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
