Baseball Recap: Elk Mound Picks Up 14th Straight Win on the Road

On Thursday Elk Mound's undefeated season almost came to an end. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Mondovi Buffaloes. This was payback for the Mounders, who suffered a 4-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Elk Mound pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 8.5 runs thus far. As for Mondovi, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
