Softball Recap: Aquinas Has No Trouble Against Ontario Christian

While Aquinas put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Ontario Christian. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Knights. That looming 13-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Falcons yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Savanna Estrada, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three doubles, and one run. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Galindo, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Aquinas hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Aquinas has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Ontario Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Aquinas didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-3 victory against Woodcrest Christian on the 15th. As for Ontario Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 12-2 win against Arrowhead Christian on the 15th.
