Basketball Recap: Brentwood Christian Comes Up Short

Brentwood Christian was the 57-53 winner over Faith Academy when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Brentwood Christian Bears were outmatched by the Faith Academy Flames and fell 65-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bears have suffered against the Flames since January 27, 2015.

Hadley Shipley had an outrageously good game for Faith Academy as she dropped a double-double on 33 points and 16 boards. With that strong performance, Shipley is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Olivia Kraenzel, who went 7 of 14 en route to 17 points and five steals.

Brentwood Christian dropped their record down to 6-10 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Faith Academy, they moved to 3-15 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brentwood Christian will square off against Grace Community at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Faith Academy, they will face off against Keystone at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
