Basketball Recap: Bishop Seabury Academy Triumphs

Bishop Seabury Academy won the last time they faced Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool and things went their way on Friday too. The Bishop Seabury Academy Seahawks slipped by the Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool Nighthawks 59-58. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Seahawks.

Bishop Seabury Academy had a senior duo take command as Chase Honarvar dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 boards and Jace Smith went 10 of 25 on his way to 26 points and six rebounds. Honarvar has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more boards the last 31 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Hoffman, who posted nine points.

Bishop Seabury Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Bishop Seabury Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-1.

Bishop Seabury Academy will face off against Bishop Ward at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool, they will venture away from home to face off against St. Mary's Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
