Parkview scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Archer, 20-18. At the time, the Tigers was ranked 23rd in the state, while the Panthers was 48th.

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Parkview, who took down 23rd ranked Archer, 20-18. Chris Carson ran for 143 yards in the win.

Central Gwinnett's dynamic duo of Eman Westmoreland and Chris Shelling proved tough for Berkmar to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Westmoreland threw for 271 yards and three touchdowns and Shelling had 103 yards receiving. Adam Riley helped Central Gwinnett's passing attack out by catching four balls for 63 yards.

The Black Knights' Westmoreland and Justin Brownlee have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading AAAAAA Region 8 in both passing and receiving yards. Westmoreland has thrown for 843 yards this season, while Brownlee, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 20 catches for 391 yards. The Panthers' Carson leads the league in rushing yards with 470.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Parkview and Brookwood. The Panthers enters the game ranked 13th in the state, while the Broncos ranks 19th.

Andy Dyer's team's KJ Parmer rumbled for the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against Parkview last week. Parmer's team fell to the Panthers as he sprinted for 68 yards on the play and finished with 70 in all.
