Softball Recap: Trinity Find Success

Trinity took a 17-run loss the last time they faced off against Monadnock, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pioneers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Huskies 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pioneers have posted since April 20th.

Trinity has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Monadnock, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Trinity will challenge rival Gilford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Monadnock is set to face off against their familiar foe Raymond at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
