Northside falls despite strong effort from Keron Milton jr.

Recap: Northside Eagles vs. Warner Robins Demons

The Northside Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 92-78 bruising from Warner Robins. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Friday (67), Northside still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Northside lost, one person who can't be blamed is Keron Milton jr.. Despite the final result, he scored 34 points along with two steals. Milton jr. continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chastan Brown, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.

Even though they lost, Northside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. This was only their ninth loss (out of 13 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.

Northside has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Warner Robins, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Northside and Lee County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Warner Robins on the road again on Tuesday and play against Union Grove at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Union Grove is ranked 89th, while Warner Robins is ranked 94th).
