            Baseball Recap: Rolling Meadows Mustangs vs. Elk Grove Grenadiers        
        
		
        
        
            Rolling Meadows hadn't done well against Elk Grove recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Monday. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  4-3  win over the Grenadiers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played  back in May of 2024.
 Aiden Gallucci looked comfortable as he  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.

 On the hitting side,  Callum Paisley was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in March.  Joe Brigham was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  doubles and two  RBI.
The  victory (which was Rolling Meadows' third in a row) raised their record to 13-2. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Elk Grove, their defeat was  their fifth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 1-9.
Rolling Meadows will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Grenadiers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:45  p.m.  on Wednesday.
