Basketball Recap: Jaci Hutton's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Twinsburg over Wadsworth

Twinsburg has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 42-37 to the Wadsworth Grizzlies, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Grizzlies earlier this season, when they won 30-25.

Twinsburg's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaci Hutton, who posted ten points in addition to seven boards and three steals. What's more, Hutton also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Taylor Dye, who scored 12 points.

Twinsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Wadsworth, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5.

Twinsburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-38 victory against Chardon on the 12th. As for Wadsworth, they have also already played their next game, a 38-36 win against Tallmadge on the 12th.
