Softball Recap: Hunter Takes a Loss

If Hunter was feeling good fresh off their 19-2 takedown of Kearns on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolverines lost 15-5 to the West Jordan Jaguars on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in March.

Hunter saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was SYDNI MILLER, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Hunter's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for West Jordan, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Hunter will face off against Green Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.35 runs per game on average), something the Wolverines will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West Jordan, they will take on Kearns at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Jaguars' favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while the Cougars have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
