Volleyball Recap: Trinity Christian Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Tuesday. Trinity Christian fell just short of Central by a score of 2-1. Trinity Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Central apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Trinity Christian sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-23, 17-25, 17-15.

Adeline Earley paced Trinity Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. Earley got some help from Genna Rinkenberger and her 14 assists. Zoe Joyner controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Central found their leader in sophomore Julianna Johnston, who had nine digs and one assist.

Trinity Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Central, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Trinity Christian and Central will both be playing McEachern the next time they take the court. Trinity Christian will head out to face McEachern at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Central will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
