Recap: Irondale Knights vs. Woodbury Royals
The Irondale Knights were the 50-45 winner over the Woodbury Royals when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Irondale lost to Woodbury on the road by a decisive 81-65 margin on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Thursday (63), Irondale still had to take the loss.
Irondale's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Latrell Baggett, who scored 17 points along with six steals and five assists. Baggett is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Jake Dedominces was another key contributor, scoring 24 points.
Irondale now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Woodbury, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Irondale will head out on the road to face off against Cretin-Derham Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Woodbury will be home for the holidays to greet Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
