Basketball Game Preview: Hardin County Tigers vs. Jackson South Side Hawks

Hardin County is 0-4 against Jackson South Side since February of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Hardin County Tigers will square off against the Jackson South Side Hawks at 7:30 p.m.

Hardin County is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They were outmatched by Jackson North Side and fell 83-47. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Indians are ranked 50th).

Meanwhile, Jackson South Side waltzed into their contest on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They claimed a resounding 92-56 victory over the Bobcats. The Hawks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Hardin County's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Jackson South Side, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Hardin County was dealt a bruising 81-43 defeat at the hands of Jackson South Side in their previous meeting on January 10th. Can Hardin County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
