Football Recap: Zahkarri Mcglothin's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Harrison Central over Lanier

Harrison Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 28-12 to the Lanier Bulldogs.

Harrison Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zahkarri McGlothin, who rushed for 127 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also picked up 45 receiving yards. McGlothin got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 93 yards. Harrison Central also got help from Leondre Franklin, who showed off his sure hands for 106 receiving yards.

Knolyn Bailey went supernova For Lanier., rushing for 245 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.

Harrison Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Harrison Central will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hancock at 7:00 p.m. As for Lanier, they will head out to take on Moss Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
